Phab’s aim is to promote and encourage people of all abilities to come together on equal terms, to achieve complete inclusion within the wider community.
Lyndon Phab was established at Lyndon Methodist Church in 1977 and we are now one of the oldest Phab Clubs in England.
We no longer have a committee but 6 officers with various responsibilities who are also trustees of the registered charity.
The club meets on Tuesday evenings from 7.30-9.30pm and is open to people with and without disabilities aged 13+years (no upper age limit).
Every three months the members decide on a programme of social activities such as crafts, team building/disability awareness nights, bingo, quizzes, archery, ten pin bowling etc.
The first week is free so people can decide whether to join us and if they do, the subscription is £1.00 per week when they attend (unless it’s a special activity).
We also have social events away from the club such as Beer and Skittles Night, Christmas Meals, Daytrips and Weekend Holidays.
Membership forms are required to be completed for the Phab Insurance and registration with Phab Ltd.
We are self-funding. We undertake a variety of fundraising events including street collections, applying to trusts, auction nights etc. All donations are gratefully received as we try and provide subsidies for our trips to assist members on low income.
We are covered by a number of policies including Child Protection & Vulnerable Adults, Safeguarding, Health & Safety, etc. and all our volunteers are referenced and CRB checked.
Please visit the club website for more details, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Volunteers can be any age or background and everyone is made welcome.
